ALBANY - Beyond the world of Trekkies fly members of Albacon, a collection of science fiction and fantasy writers, artists and extraterrestrial masqueraders that invaded the Albany Crowne Plaza Saturday.
More than 100 fans of other worlds, far away times and mysterious characters stretched their imaginations at the 2005 Science Fiction Convention, the 10th annual Albacon gathering in the Capital Region. Sci-fi fans from across the East Coast joined dozens of members of the Latham-Albany-Schenectady-Troy Science Fiction Association for panel discussions, an art show, gaming and dressing up as their favorite fantasy characters …
