NSW: Police seize $5 million in cannabis
Police have seized about $5 million worth of cannabis plants and arrested seven people
after a week-long operation in northern New South Wales
The operation involved raids on five properties in and around Nimbin.
Drug Squad Commander Superintendent PAUL JONES says the operation is conducted annualy,
targeting people who grow what he calls a reasonable amount of cannabis.
He say a firearm also was seized during a raid on one of the properties where the plants,
averaging about five metres in height, were scattered among lantana.
